[Kazmo - Relief [Demo]]

Nice flow

I really like this loop. It has a great overall vibe to it, even had me rocking my head to the beat right at the 38 sec mark.

Can't really critique the mixing/mastering of this track. Truly, this is of some pristine quality sir!

lol, I saw the title.

I made a song like a year and a half ago called "the rise." so when I saw yours I thought I might give it a listen.

not bad. you definitely have a firm grip on the fundamentals of making a song.

Some things you may want to work on:

*clipping: I could hear a bit of it in the beginning, but it wasn't terrible. might need to just add a limiter on your song.

* repetitiveness: again, not too shabby. I've heard far worse, believe me. ;)

* melody: this was the thing that held you most back. Although the song has great flow to it, and your eqing was pretty decent, the melody itself just wasn't emotionally pulling enough. Try to experiment with different notes until you get a decent progression going.

Overall, nice work! I can see that you put a lot of effort into this, and such is the music creation process. Just work on the things I listed, you will be sure to improve.

Lower the master channel.

It's got a terrible amount of clipping. But I like it, and I can see you put a lot of work into it. Nice gating effects. My suggestion would be to lower the overall volume of the master channel, and put a limiter on it. Then lower the attack, release, and ahead envelopes.

Also, the piano seems to have a bit too much reverb.

Pros: Nice melody. I like it, and its unique. You did a good job with the variation, and the gate effects were pretty nicely put. You may find it useful to take a look at my song "fall into the sky." Listen to the gate effects in there, and take it as an example. The piano sounded unique too. If you used FL keys, I couldn't tell, because it was done quite well.

cons: none that I didn't already add suggestions for. Improve this track, and let me know when you upload it again. I will do my best to review it.

Thanks for the advise but im using the demo version. no save so i havnt got a copy. i do the song, export and upload. but i will definatly take all this in mind when making new stuff. thanks man.

Not going to water this down - awesome track.

I was looking through the new tracks this morning, and out of boredom I just happened to click yours. Now, I normally produce trance/dnb, not hip hop. In fact, I have come to dislike much of the genre due to all the s**t that you hear on the radio these days. But omg, dude...this track is breathtaking. You did an excellent job.

The beat was well made, the sfx added that extra bit needed to give it that dynamic many of the tracks out there are missing.

The piano was outstanding. And that is a comment you won't get out of me easily, as piano is one of my favorite elements in any song (it has to be perfect, and boy, did you manage that).

When the strings first came in, that was when I thought, "wow." You really managed to pull them off. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this project.

The only thing that came to mind is the slight clipping in some parts on the percussion, but it seemed to almost add more to the song rather than take away.

To close this review, I will remind you - I'm no hip hop fan. I produce trance and DnB. Yet you were able to impress me enough to give you the ten that this track deserves. I hope that you continue to make good stuff like this, it's f**king awesome!
